Amazing Collection At An Amazing Price Oct 05, 2004
By Robert I. Hedges I am normally not a fan of classical "greatest hits" type albums, but I make a deserved exception for this CD. This CD is an excellent introduction to all the different styles Mozart is famous for; it has slightly over 75 minutes of music contained in its 25 tracks. The selections were largely well chosen, although to be nitpicky I would have preferred slightly more representation of his sublime horn concertos. Having said that, I unabashedly recommend this CD to anyone who wants a good overall overview of the works of Mozart. My particular favorites on the CD are "The Marriage of Figaro", "The Magic Flute", Horn Concerto Number 3 in E-flat", and, of course the always beautiful "Symphony Number 40 in G Minor."
The amazing thing about this CD is actually not the music presented, but the unbelievably low asking price for the CD, particularly considering that the recording quality is excellent with little to no background noise detectable, even at fairly high volume. This CD is highly recommended to anyone.

Stunning...Tranquil...Amazing Feb 22, 2002
By Bud The music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of the world's most acclaimed and brilliant composers, is undeniably essential in anyone's library of classical music. "25 Mozart Favorites" is a wonderful collection to start with. Not only does it include the basic necessities, but the choice and flow of the movements is perfect. Another quality of this collection is that it doesn't exploit his music and give buyers the idea that if you play it over your baby's crib at night, it will turn your child into a genius. Two of the many highpoints: "The Marriage of Figaro" and "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" (or, "A Little Night Music"). The music of Mozart is stunning, tranquil, and amazing, a world of its own.

Must have for Mozart fans Jul 29, 2000 If you're a lover of Mozart's glorious music, this CD is for you. It is also a good intro cd for beginners who are interested in the music of Mozart. The selections are some of Mozart's finest: Overtures to Figaro and Magic Flute, piano concertos, violin music, flute music, and even his Requiem. The only thing that they left out was his actual opera arias and highlights (for example Don Giovanni or Nozze de Figaro arias). But otherwise it is a very excellent taste of Amadeus' unforgettable music and, i will emphasize.. AFFORDABLE. The price is great.

I usually try to avoid the CDs with this titles
simpy because they are very poorly arranged and not
such a good quality. This CD is long and beautiful,
so if you love Mozart you will enjoy it....

How can you go wrong with Mozart?...Buy this and find out. May 13, 2007

"Le Nozze"
I was extraordinarely ignorant when I purchased this recording. I thought,"WOW!! Look at all the music you get in this CD set. The price cannot be beat!" When I received the CD, I discovered that you don't really get any music at all. This is a great sample CD, and should be bought by a person brand new to classical music. However, if you have any experience with classical music, you will want to pass on this CD.
Each of the pieces are hacked apart to the point of it being comical. It's interesting to listen to the greatest music in the world, only to have the development cut. All of a sudden I was thrust into a new key, I thought my ears were going crazy. Perhaps an effort by a decent high school orchestra, but this music is not up to snuff with any other recording.
Do yourself a favor and go out and purchase real recordings of Mozart, and not watered down stereotypes.
