5 Stars for the Chair, 3 Stars for the Audio Jun 09, 2010
By Johnny Saigon® I've had my eye on this chair ever since it first came out. I was reluctant to buy it, and I should have snatched it up, as it was only a "Benjamin" back then (I got it for a "Benjamin" plus a very unhappy "Grant"), and now it's a very hot-sell item. But it's worth the extra money - very nicely made, of fake leather that's holding up really well.
As you can see from the photos, when opened up it sits very low to the ground. This can be either good or bad, depending on your preference. The makers had in mind to make this into an ottoman when folded, so it had to be low when opened. This also gives a nice profile like you're in a driver's seat, and when you rest your head back, you're naturally looking up, so don't worry if your TV is on an elevated level, as most TVs would be. It's not an awkward level to look up to, so to me this is fine.
My gripes are the speakers are pretty bad, equal to the level of $20 generic computer speakers. The sound is very hollow and "tin-y." The built in subwoofer gives off decent rumble, but not very deep like a nice subwoofer would. The only good thing is the volume can get quite loud. It also comes with a RF receiver so you can hook up your audio lines across the room for wireless audio, but the receiver is so cheaply made the sound comes out very "static-y." The wireless feature is not worth the big audio downgrade, so just suck it up and get long wires and connect them straight to the chair.
Overall, I would rate this 5 stars for chair portion - construction, material, ergonomics, etc., but only 3 stars for the audio. For the price, it's a decent value. If it ever dips back to costing just a Benjamin, you should definitely get it.
In overview: The good - excellent chair qualities The bad - poor audio qualities The ugly - I got it for 1.5 times its original price - d'oh!

Amazing Gaming Chair Jan 26, 2010
By Joe Carson I just got my Cohesion XP 11.2 gaming chair today and I love it. This is the first gaming chair I've ever gotten and I have to say this is more than I expected. The speakers are great on highs and lows and the quality of the sound is great. The built in sub can go very very deep and pierces you very nicely. The chair is very comfortable and easy to maintain and set up is very easy. Overall this chair is just amazing but there are a few minor setbacks. First the package that comes isn't your ordinary brown cardboard box but one with pictures and description of the product inside so you might want to make sure your home when delivered because leaving a blank box with a 200 dollar product on your porch for hours is sometimes unsettling as it is. Secondly you need to buy a 1/8(headphone jack) stereo to RCA stereo adapter if your TV doesn't have a headphone jack or no go. I highly recommend the Monster THXIMINI8 THX Certified 1/8 Stereo to Stereo RCA Cable Adapter if you don't have or want to use the headphone jack. Thirdly the chair isn't fully wireless because those speakers need a stronger power source than a few batteries. Fourthly the wireless receiver produces too much static (at least in my house) so you might not be able to use the wireless functionality. Lastly it is expensive but you get more than what you pay for in my opinion. Bottom line if you want a great gaming chair and are willing to shell out over 100 dollars then this is the chair to go with. You might want to consider getting two like I did after I experienced the greatness and it will be entirely worth it.

Comfy, speakers mediocre Aug 19, 2010
By JoeyKahler I had read a review saying it's not for people taller than 5'6" and was worried, but I am 5'11" and sit comfortably in it. Upon initially turning it on the speakers had a constant fuzz in them, didn't bother me too much and the fuzz almost went away while playing an Xbox 360 game. Tried watching an episode of south park and couldn't find a good balance of bass and volume to watch it. It was difficult because the sound quality was not the best. All of this was tried while the wireless transmitter was doing all the work, I haven't tried it with the wired set up. Wireless transmitting could explain fuzziness.

Great Chair! Speakers ROCK! Jan 31, 2010

The chair is comfortable, folds up relatively small (into an ottoman) and really has terrific speakers-the whole chair vibrates (yeah baby!)

Awesome! Nov 26, 2010

This product is pretty freaking good. I use it to play Gran Turismo 5 with my homemade racing cockpit and Logitech G27. The seat has a control panel on the right side, with two separate volume +/- controls for speakers and bass. There is an audio line in (for hooking up TV) and line out (for hooking up headphones). In addition there is a button to power on/off and a button to cycle between the 3 wireless frequencies and an LED to indicate which one you are on.
The BASS + button is sticky on my unit, sometimes I have to wiggle my finger on it to get it to unstick, but this has not factored into my review.
Pros: Pretty comfortable. (I'm 5'6, 135lbs -- small frame) Folds up and hides away, mostly. The sub woofer air hole thing looks a little strange for an ottoman, but it definitely makes me look like less of a gamer. Sound quality is about equal to that of my TVs built in speakers, except the chair has more bass.
Cons: Wireless audio (uses FM) is TERRIBLE. Don't even bother using it, wire it straight up to your TV. I used the headphone jack on my TV. When I first turned it on, I heard Led Zeppelin. Yes, that's right. I was listening to some classic rock radio. Maybe it's not a bad thing, but when I'm trying to play a game it is :) The radio transmits on 3 different frequencies and none of them worked clearly at all, even with the radio 2 feet away. This is the primary reason this didn't get 5 stars. Cords everywhere but none are long enough, so there are more cords cause I have to use extensions! The power cord isn't very long (approx 6 feet or so, I'm eyeballing it) and the same for the wire that comes with it for audio. This wire plugs into the TV to the wireless transmitter or into the chair directly. If you're using the wireless radio (but why would you) or if you sit within 4 feet of the TV it would be long enough, but if you have any decent sized TV, you're probably at a greater distance. (I'm about 8 feet from my 37") As such, you will need an extension cord for power and for the audio.
I hope my review has helped you, if so, please rate it as such below. If you have any questions or comments, please post them and I'll do my best to answer in a timely manner.
