Comfy Dec 14, 2009
By Stephen Chan Thick foam lets me sit comfortably for as long as I want. Legs slide between 2 rails under the foam, and can lock in 1 of 4 positions. Lowest position is 19.5 inches tall, highest is 24 inches.

Awsome Bench. Good Leather and foam. Jan 19, 2009
By Can V. Nguyen This is a very nice looking bench. It has a good leather seat and the foam is 3" thick and very firm. It is easy to adjust the height level. I got my four year old son sit on it to play the piano. Definitely worth the money.

Sturdy, wide, comfortable, a bit off in the quality control Jul 06, 2009
By Benedict J. Jackson The legs remove completely from the bench by squeezing in two pins on each arm of the "X". There are knobs you can tighten to hold the pins in, which is handy because otherwise it would require a lot of hands to set up the bench.
I would not recommend this bench if you plan to set it up and take it down frequently. The rails on the bottom of the bench are too close together on mine and that makes one end very difficult to remove. It also takes a bit of fiddling around with both ends to ensure all 4 pins seat in the holes in the bench rail. If you were in a hurry it would be easy to only wedge the unit together and have it collapse when you sat down.

Good Bench Oct 07, 2010
By D. Chan On Stage KT7800 Plus is wide, sturdy, portable and comfortable as claimed. Quality of construction is generally good. The 4 sets of holes on each end of the adjustment rails not only allow for 4 height positions, but additional height increments if the pins are locked into holes in a staggered manner. I came up with un-weighted floor to seat top measurements of 19, 20 1/4, 21 1/4, 22 1/4, 23, 23 3/4 and 24 1/4 inches. Of course body weight compressing the foam seat will factor into reducing these heights, but the bottom line is that this bench has very good height adjustment capabilities. Proper seat height to keyboard height and leg to floor distance are very important factors not only in comfort but ergonomics and reduction of stress injuries. Good posture allows you to play for hours. The bench's varied height adjustment possibilities would make it a good seat for playing any instrument.
I did not give it 5 stars because either the rails or the holes are slightly mis-aligned, which requires a bit of fiddling with before the pins will lock home. This is most likely due to sloppy manufacture assembly and could be corrected with a little repositioning or modification on my part (a pain). The problem could just be my individual bench and not necessary inherent to them all.
As mentioned before, the legs fold and can be removed completely from the seat top , or the pins on one side can be left attached if you want to transport the collapsed bench in one piece. I would buy this bench again.

Excellent, easy to Assemble and very Comfortable Folding X-Bench May 24, 2011
By J. Morbit
"music lover"
The On Stage KT7800 Plus Keyboard Bench is very easy to assemble and very comfortable. The bench seat has two rails on the bottom with six holes on each, three on the left and the right. The x-legs attach to these rails by push pins on both sides of the leg tops. These pins have retaining thumb screws to tighten and secure the seat at the desired and set height. Pull the pins to the center of the leg and align with the selected height adjustment holes and release to snap into place, and then tighten the thumb screws to secure them in place, flip the bench over and enjoy the comfort of the thick and very comfortable foam that tops it.
The inner most holes on the seat rails adjust the seat to its highest position, and as the holes move out toward the edge they lower the seat height.
To fold the seat away for easy storage under a bed or in a closet you simply have to loosen the thumb retaining screws on one side (left or right) and push them to the center of the leg to release the pins from the adjusting hole and fold the x-frame flat against the bottom of the seat. Don't forget to tighten the retaining screws again when you position the push pins for using the bench, you wouldn't want the bench to collapse on you.
The seat cushion is 23.62" x 12.79" x 3" (just under). It easily supports my weight, currently 267 lbs. I am just under 6 feet tall and the highest setting is perfect the height of my keyboard, 34" from the floor to the top of the white keys.
One last point: If you want the larger bench, be sure to order the On Stage KT7800 Plus Keyboard Bench (reviewed here) and not the On Stage KT7800 Padded Keyboard Bench as they are different benches. The On Stage KT7800 Plus has a larger seat cushion and higher weight capacity then the On Stage KT7800. Some of the other reviews here state that they did not get what the ordered so make sure that you check your order before you submit it and check the item when it arrives. I had no issue as I got the item that I ordered, On Stage KT7800 Plus, thanks again Amazon for a painless order and delivery.
