| | Description | This compact grinder is a great alternative to full sized bench grinders. Although it doesn't have the size and power to grind through piles of chain a day, it does an excellent job of sharpening chains for the casual user. It comes with one 3/16" grinding wheel for sharpening standard 3/8" pitch chains and .404" pitch chains. It also comes with a wheel-dressing brick, and a template for pitch, depth-gauge setting, and wheel contour. It will sharpen most 1/4", .325", and mini 3/8"-pitch chains with the purchase of an 1/8" wheel. Runs on standard 115 volt power. *LIMITED TIME OFFER! Free UPS GROUND shipping on this item. Quick Setup - Easy to Use - Sharp Chain Sep 11, 2009
By John Hisey Just received this today and sharpened 4 chains tonight - glad to see it is made in Italy instead of across the other ocean - a quality product that will save me tons on saw shop sharpening and I don't have to wait a week to get my chains back - one suggestion is to buy an extra stone to be used for grinding the depth (this stone will be shaped flat and always used for the flat grind) - the owners manual is on the Oregon Chain website if you want to read all about it before buying the grinder.

Sharpen til your heart's content! Apr 07, 2009
By Lonnie Cranmore I took it out of the box, screwed it to the counter and sharpened 8 chains. It is fast, easy and very consistant compared to the dremel tool I used before.

Oregon nini bench grinder Apr 06, 2009
By R. Creamer this is, in my opinion. the best alternative to the full size Oregon grinder. Easy out of box set up and ease of use make it a great tool. All of the fixtures fit tight with no unnecessary movement. Quiet running, easy adjustments to fine tune the sharpening process without overheating the chain thus taking the temper out of it. Highly recommend it. Kind of pricey but worth the investment..

Oregon 108181 Sep 22, 2009
By John Kraiza I got the oregon 108181 sharpener today. Took a look at it. It couldn't change the pitch for the Pro chain I use. I sent it back for a 511AX. More money but it will do the job I want it for. The Oregon 108181 looks like it would be good for the home owner saw not a pro saw.

Bad Motor Jan 24, 2012
By Rancher Bought this item a year ago, sharpened 12 small link chains for last season. This season, sharpened 3 chains and the motor burned out! The product may be great for the first year, but the motor doesn't last! Actually, the motor bearings failed. I did not abuse the product or cause the motor to experience excessive grinding pressure. A replacement motor is very difficult to find if there is such a thing. Conclusion: throw it away and spend another $200 or have someone sharpen your chains!
